Brenda grew up in Nine Mile Falls, Washington and is a graduate of Mead High School. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from Washington State University and a Master of Arts in Music Performance from Eastern Washington University. She went on to earn a Master of Clinical Health Services from the University of Washington/MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program. Her physician assistant career began in Family Practice and Urgent Care before she chose to specialize in Dermatology in 2014.

Brenda is certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Washington Association of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Her personal interests include spending time with her family, attending concerts, and taking advantage of the many outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
